Our soccer team represented the Overberg region at the Western Cape provincial finals of the national Copa Coca-Cola competition. The provincial finals were contested in Mitchell’s Plain on Saturday the 26th of March 2011. Lucas Radebe, former Bafana Bafana captain, was one of the overseers of the tournament and was very impressed with the standard of play.

Unfortunately the occassion was too big for our boys and they lost their first match against Bastiaanse High school 5-1. In their second league match they excelled and beat Robinvale High School 2-1. These results were unfortunately not enough to take them into the semi-finals.

A big cheer and well done to the Sharkies and better luck next year!
